Terms of Use
Last updated: September 19, 2026
These terms govern your use of Volleyball Hub (“we,” “us,” “our”), a tournament registration and management platform for volleyball organizers, teams, and players across Canada. By creating an account or otherwise using Volleyball Hub, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the platform.
What Volleyball Hub is — and isn't
Volleyball Hub helps organizers publish events, take registrations, build schedules and brackets, and track standings and results. It helps teams and players find and join those events.
Volleyball Hub does not organize, insure, supervise, referee, or run the physical events themselves — that’s entirely the responsibility of the organizer and the people who show up to play. We’re also not a party to any fee arrangement between an organizer and a team: the platform can display a fee amount, but doesn’t collect, hold, or process payment for it. Any money that changes hands between an organizer and a team happens directly between them, on their own terms.
Accounts
You need an account to organize an event, officiate, or manage a team roster. You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account, for keeping your password secure, and for anything that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you think someone else has access to it.
Creating an account requires agreeing to receive email communications from us — see our Privacy Policy for what that covers.
You must be able to form a legally binding agreement under the laws of your province to create an account. If you’re under that age, a parent or guardian should create and manage the account on your behalf.
Your role and responsibilities
Organizers
You’re responsible for the accuracy of everything you publish about your event — venue, dates, format, division, and fees — and for actually running it: accepting or managing registrations, publishing a schedule, entering results, and handling any venue, facility, or insurance requirements on your end. Volleyball Hub just gives you the tools; the event itself is yours.
Captains
You’re responsible for the accuracy of your team’s roster and for who you invite. An invite is emailed to the address you provide, but the link itself is still the credential to accept it — treat it like you would any other access link, and only share it with the teammate it’s meant for.
Players, roster members, and free agents
Provide accurate contact and player information, and follow through on the events you register or sign up for — captains and organizers are planning around who’s committed.
Officials
If you accept an invite to officiate, you’re responsible for entering game scores accurately and promptly — organizers, teams, and standings depend on it.
Physical activity and assumption of risk
Volleyball is a physical sport, and events you find or register for through Volleyball Hub happen in person, off the platform. Participating — whether as a player, captain, organizer, official, or spectator — carries an inherent risk of injury or property damage. You take part at your own risk, and you’re responsible for following whatever rules, waivers, or safety requirements the organizer or venue has in place for the event itself.
Volleyball Hub isn’t responsible for injuries, property damage, disputes between participants, or anything else that happens at or around an event — those are between the people actually there.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Create fake events, accounts, teams, or registrations
- Use an invite or officiating link for anyone other than the person it was sent to, or register someone for an event without their knowledge or consent
- Harass, threaten, or abuse another user, whether through the platform or at an event
- Misrepresent your identity, role, or affiliation with an event or team
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the platform, or try to access another user’s account or data without authorization
- Use Volleyball Hub for anything illegal, or that violates someone else’s rights
We can suspend or remove content, events, or accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion.
Content you provide
You keep ownership of the content you submit — event descriptions, team and organizer names, roster details, and the like. By submitting it, you give Volleyball Hub the right to display and use it as part of running the platform (showing your event’s public page, standings, and results, for example).
You’re responsible for having the right to share any content or information you submit, including anyone else’s contact details you add to a roster or invite.
Public events (the default visibility) are visible to anyone, with or without an account — see our Privacy Policy for what that includes.
The platform itself
Volleyball Hub — its design, code, and branding — belongs to us. These terms don’t grant you any rights to it beyond using it as intended to organize or take part in volleyball events.
No warranty
Volleyball Hub is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that organizer-submitted information (schedules, fees, venue details) is accurate — that’s on the organizer to get right and on you to confirm directly with them if something matters.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Volleyball Hub isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform — including a cancelled or mismanaged event, a fee dispute between an organizer and a team, or an injury or dispute at an event. Our total liability for any claim relating to Volleyball Hub is limited to the greater of what you’ve paid us in the past 12 months (currently nothing, since we don’t charge for accounts) or $50 CAD.
Termination
You can stop using Volleyball Hub at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, or if we discontinue the platform. Some sections of these terms — including physical activity risk, content you’ve already submitted, and limitation of liability — continue to apply after your account is closed.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform changes. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above; continued use of Volleyball Hub after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
